About Me

Profile Image

Nice to meet you! I'm Giuseppe

A beginner UX/UI Designer and Web Designer

My studies in design started when I was 16, in High School. Since then it was a steady growth: Web Design first and then UX/UI Design, extending my knowledge in my room.

Since I was a child, my world has been a mix of colors, stories and images. I've always found myself daydreaming about the fantastic worlds of cinema and video games, in which every visual detail tells something profound and every stylistic choice has an impact. This love for visual storytelling, which was all around me in every form, became the engine that made me who i am today and infleunced me as a designer.

When I'm not designing, you might find me exploring new games, looking for inspiration or maybe analyzing the visual storytelling of my favorite films.

UX Analysis Project

UX/UI Design Discovery 2025
Minimalist Dashboard Design

Project Overview

UX analysis conducted on JojobRT, a platform dedicated to corporate carpooling. The project was developed during the Discovery phase of the UX/UI Design program by Start2Impact. The goal was to evaluate and improve the user experience through a structured research process using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Challenge

Understand and critically evaluate the current experience offered by JojobRT. The main challenge was to identify usability issues on the website and understand the real needs of users in order to propose data-driven, evidence-based improvements.

Approach

The research followed a systematic analysis process, structured into several phases:

  • Definition of the product and services offered by the platform
  • Heuristic evaluation based on Nielsen’s 10 usability heuristics
  • Study of the site structure (sitemap and information architecture)
  • Research on target users and competitors: strengths, weaknesses, and positioning
  • Creation, distribution, and analysis of a user survey

Key Findings

  • Need for clearer communication of the service’s benefits
  • Issues in accessing information and user orientation
  • Opportunities to improve visual consistency and information hierarchy
  • Positive feedback on the sustainability and usefulness of corporate carpooling

UX Accessibility Project

UX/UI Design Accessibility 2025
Minimalist Dashboard Design

Project Overview

Second phase of the UX analysis conducted on JojobRT, a corporate carpooling platform. Part of the UX/UI Design program by Start2Impact, the project aimed to deepen the understanding of users, with particular attention to people with disabilities, and to redesign the site structure based on insights gathered during the research phase.

Challenge

Translate the insights gathered during the research phase into concrete proposals to improve the user experience and ensure accessibility for all. The main challenge was to realistically represent different user profiles, including people with visual, motor, or cognitive disabilities, and to effectively intervene in the site structure to address the real needs of each group.

Approach

The work was organized into several strategic phases:

  • Creation of 3 user personas with disabilities (visual, motor, cognitive) based on user research data
  • Development of a user journey map to analyze the current experience, highlighting barriers and accessibility issues
  • Identification of specific pain points and opportunities for accessibility improvements
  • Updating the journey map with design solutions to ensure inclusive navigation
  • Proposal of a new information architecture (IA) optimized for usability and accessibility

Key Outcomes

  • Clearer navigation flows for users with different needs and goals
  • A new IA that is more streamlined and focused on the primary needs of all users, including people with disabilities
  • Effective representation of user needs and behaviors through inclusive personas
  • Restructured customer journey map highlighting critical moments and accessibility-focused solutions

Portfolio Website HTML & CSS

UX/UI Design Web Design 2025
Minimalist Dashboard Design

Project Overview

A website designed as a personal portfolio, developed as part of the UX/UI Design course by Start2Impact. The goal was to create a professional digital space to showcase my projects, design process, and personal brand.

Challenge

Building a portfolio that not only reflects my design skills but also demonstrates a clear and thoughtful user experience. I aimed to balance creativity with functionality, making the site visually engaging while ensuring usability across devices.

Approach

The project followed a structured design process:

  • Wireframing: Created low-fidelity wireframes in Figma to plan content hierarchy and navigation flow
  • UI Design: Developed a complete visual layout with consistent typography, color palette, and custom components
  • Development: Built the site using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focusing on responsiveness, accessibility, and clean animations
  • Mobile-first responsive design

Key features include:

  • Smooth scrolling and animated section transitions
  • Responsive grid system for mobile and desktop
  • Downloadable CV and project filters
  • Copywriting "Il Vestito Verde"

    UX/UI Design Copywriting 2024
    E-commerce Redesign

    Project Overview

As part of the UX/UI Design course at Start2Impact, I completed a copywriting project that involved writing an article on the topic of fast fashion for the blog "Il Vestito Verde", a project focused on ethical fashion.

    Challenge

The challenge was to create an informative, persuasive, and engaging article that raises awareness about the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion—while aligning with the tone and values of the hosting blog.

    Approach

I applied copywriting techniques learned during the course to structure and shape the article:

    • Headline Optimization: A compelling title designed to spark curiosity and invite clicks
    • Storytelling: Built a narrative around a relatable, real-life scenario to hook the reader
    • Value Proposition: Highlighted the consequences of fast fashion and proposed mindful alternatives
    • Emotional Triggers: Used persuasive language to evoke empathy and prompt reflection
    • Call to Action: Closed the article with a clear, motivating invitation to change consumer habits

    Brand identity MeditActive

    UX/UI Design Gaming Elements 2024
    Game-Inspired Web App

    Project Overview

Brand identity development for a meditation app designed to evoke calm, balance, and inner connection. The project included logo creation, the definition of a consistent font and color palette, and a custom icon set for the app’s UI.

    Challenge

Visually translating concepts like serenity, mindfulness, and wellness into a distinctive and memorable brand identity. The client wanted to avoid clichés and stand out from typical meditation apps with something more authentic and refined.

    Approach

I started with research into wellness aesthetics and the visual preferences of the target audience. My design decisions included:

    • A minimalist logo built on soft, symmetrical shapes
    • A natural color palette (calm magenta, powder blue)
    • Modern, slightly organic typefaces to enhance readability and convey calmness
    • A custom set of rounded, line-based icons tailored for the app interface

    Landing Page analysis

    UX/UI Design Mobile 2024
    Mobile App Design

    Project Overview

As an introductory project for the UX/UI Design course at Start2Impact, I analyzed the landing page of the website Last Minute Sotto Casa, a platform aimed at reducing food waste by promoting local offers.

    Challenge

The task was to identify usability issues and improvement opportunities in the current landing page while maintaining the original mission and goals of the platform.

    Approach

I carried out a UX analysis focusing on:

    • Strengths and Weaknesses: Assessed layout, navigation, messaging, and visual hierarchy
    • User Goals vs. Business Goals: Evaluated how effectively the website communicates its value to both users and partners
    • Wireframe Redesign: Proposed a low-fidelity wireframe that improved clarity, user flow, and call-to-action visibility
    • UX Principles: Applied core UX concepts such as visual hierarchy, accessibility, and consistency

Restaurant website HTML - CSS - JavaScript

    UX/UI Design Web Design 2017
    Game-Inspired Web App

    Project Overview

Development of a fully responsive website as part of the final project for a Web Design course. The focus was on front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, aiming to create a functional and adaptable user experience across devices.

    Challenge

Building a responsive site structure from scratch while prioritizing clean code, cross-browser compatibility, and interactive elements. The goal was to demonstrate technical proficiency rather than visual design, working with minimal stylistic guidelines.

    Approach

I started by planning the site layout with a mobile-first strategy and structured the codebase for responsiveness. Key development decisions included:

    • Semantic HTML for clear content hierarchy and accessibility
    • CSS Flexbox and media queries to ensure full responsiveness
    • JavaScript functions for interactivity, including dynamic navigation and form validation
    • Clean, modular code structure to improve readability and future maintenance

    Poster and showcase panel

    Graphic Design Panel Showcase 2016
    Game-Inspired Web App

    Project Overview

Exhibition design and visual identity for a museum show dedicated to Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the movable-type printing press. This project was developed as part of my final high school exam. It included the creation of the exhibition’s visual identity, layout of the display panels, and design of printed materials such as posters and captions.

    Challenge

Conveying the historical impact of Gutenberg’s invention in a way that is both engaging and educational. The goal was to highlight the revolutionary nature of the printing press while maintaining visual coherence and accessibility for a broad audience.

    Approach

I began researching into 15th-century typography, early printed books, and the cultural context of the invention. My design choices included:

    • A typographic system inspired by early movable type
    • A balanced, grid-based layout for clarity and readability
    • A limited color palette with warm neutralgreen to evoke calm and positivity
    • Stylized icons and illustrative elements to support younger or less expert audiences
